So I’ve also decided to give the Start To Run Podcasts a shot, after I saw that Thomas, Peter and Marloes are all making valiant attempts. I simply want to know if I, with my destroyed condition, am also up for the task. And it appears that even I can do it! I may have to do a few of the podcasts more than once and I probably won’t make it in 10 weeks, but I can do it ^^
The first run was simple: 1 minute running, 1 walking, and then again 1 running and 1 walking. Then 2 minutes of running, 2 walking, and that twice as well. Finally, there’s 3 minutes of running, which is rewarded with 3 minutes of walking. In total, I was running for 9 whole minutes. I haven’t run that much ever. At all. Not even in high school, I just decided to flunk that whenever we had to do it.
Damn I’m proud of me.

@ Cailin: thanks, I’m going to run tonight if the weather lets me, but I’m still going to stick to podcast 1. I don’t want to move too fast. I bought shoes and a pair of pants (going down slightly below the knees) just for that, and it’s working out great :)
@ Dimmu: we moeten dan meer mensen mee krijgen denk ik! :)
Zozo! Wanneer is de #fifo 5 KM wedstrijd ? :)
Holy crap! I’m proud of you!
I didn’t want to try the “Start to run” programme, since it seemed to ambitious for me. That you managed to do it impresses me greatly :)
Just make sure you do two things:
* Run on proper shoes
* Don’t overdo things and take enough rest. Don’t train more than three times a week.
Good luck Marjolein! :)
