Burger King incident
12-05-2006 – 14:24Dear employees of Burger Kings,
as I wrote in my letter dated February 9, I was not quite satisfied with the service I have received in your restaurant. The burgers were served without salad (just what I had asked for), the fries were hot and nothing about my orders was messed up.
Since that time, I am happy to say that there has been some improvement. The temperature of the fries has gradually decreased to a satisfactory level and the service has started to suck again. The soda was mostly filled with blocks of ice, and mayonnaise was sold out so would I like ketchup with my fries? The other day, I even waited for my food for almost a quarter of an hour! This is definitely going the right way again, and I am therefore very proud of you.
However, I have a minor incident to report. Last week, I ordered a Tender Crisp Menu (Spicy) in your restaurant at the Leidseplein. The order was prepared and handed to me, and when I sat down to check it out, I found my burger had salad on it. Perfectly happy with my disgruntled attitude, I started peeling off the salad, which was stuck to the bun with a layer of hot sauce. However! When this process was half-way, an employee approached me and said: “Excuse me miss, but I think we messed up the burger. Shall I take it back and bring you another one?”. Too amazed to say no, I gave away the burger I had put so much work into, and I was brought another one. Hot. With sauce. No lettuce. No effort needed be made.
Needless to say, I was appalled. Now you were so well on your way to become the chain of restaurants with a twist that I so much love; how is this possible? I trust it will never happen again and you will instantly fire the employee responsible for this mistake, or at least give her a severe warning. For now, I will give your restaurants one more try, since I am a woman of compassion and forgiveness, but pray do not let this happen again!
Yours truly,
Willow
