so, from now on you'll put the savegames on a SD card? :)

It's strange it doesn't so automatically, but any savegame on SD will be picked up. If we could do the same with downloaded games (speciale Wii Ware games are huge) life would be great.

> Even though I stutter myself, I seem to have issues with hearing
> other stuttering people talk.

Sound to me like "plaatsvervangende schaamte", something a lot of people have. When I'm listening to someone stutter I'm always trying to calm them in my head. It's weird, I'm always thinking positive and supportive thoughts in my head, that I'm trying to beam to them to get them to calm down.

Then again, the first time you started to really stutter at me, I just wanted to give you a big hug ^_^ Although maybe that just has to do with you and not the stuttering ;)

> My voice does not sound like that of an eight year old

Let me reassure you that it does in fact NOT sound like an eight year old's voice :)

> There are other problems in my life that are way more serious and
> need attention, such as the current home situation I live in.

While that may be true, the stuttering might actually mingle with them from time to time, to make things worse for you. Worse, in the way that you'll feel harried in situations where it's really not necessary.

You're quite right... the whole movie is about taking it slow. Since Alvin is forced to slow down, both physically and transportation-wise, the movie moves along with him in that pace. And that's something I really love, since it stands in contrast to all the fast movies around these days.

Most of the movie consists of beautiful scenes like this, and the few dialogues are very strong as well. Apart from that it has a melancholic atmosphere, mixed with the peace that Alvin feels now he's about to make amends.

Mmm, that looks nice :)

The impression I'm getting, from both the music and the imagery, is that the whole scene is about the concept of being forced to take it slow. This enables you to see the beauty of things around you, in this case the beauty of rural North America.

You know? I think I'd actually enjoy a movie that was nothing but this one scene, stretched of for an hour and a half: just this guy, doing his thing and the things he sees.

Mmm... I think Ghibli could make an anime out of that :p
