Knitting: Phone Pouch

A while ago the knitting virus hit me too, and I bought some cheap wool to start off my first project with. As I was knitting it in a cafe in Amsterdam, some girl talked to me and suggested (only a million times) that I should make it into a phone pouch. I liked that idea, and here it is.

Phone Pouch

My mother crocheted the cute flower on the front, and the buttons are from my mother’s and grandmother’s infinite (no really, infinite) button collection. The regular buttons are just for show, since I attached a press stud (‘drukknoop’) behind the flap. I think it looks awesome for a first project!

  • Thanks Cailin and Jen!
Cailin, I have no idea how my mom made the flowers but I can try to get her to make a description of it. I’d like that too so I can learn that as well ;)

I’m just going to put it in my bag or purse, whichever I carry (I always carry something of the sort with me). Oh and I got a sewing machine too so I will try learning how to sew as well! :)

Looks terrific! How handy and will pretty up those ugly cell phones! Nicely done!

  • Hey, that -is- pretty neat :) Your mom needs to explain how to make those flowers, pronto! That stuff would look great on baby clothes *hint* Anyway, I love the colour! How will you be using it though? Just slip the phone in and then drop it in your purse? Or will it be hanging from your belt/wrist/neck/someother-area-of-your-person?

Marli’s about to start learning how to use the sewing machine. I’ve been using it for nigh on twelve years now, but she finally decided that she wanted to learn as well.
