This is a page on which I’m going to post and keep up the planning I’ve created for my thesis. It’s wise to keep track of what I’m doing and when I intend to find the time, particularly because this is a huge project.

3. Proposal
Almost done. Update details!
4. Chapters
Roughly I want it to look like this:
CH1: Introduction
CH2: Translation theories (expand on that)
CH3: What a manual should look like
CH4: Grammatical: ways to avoid the user and their semantic implications
CH5: The research
The most boring part. This is where I literally analyse every bit of data I’ve gathered and calculate the results, then I put them here. Some preliminary conclusions can be drawn but ultimately I don’t want to conclude too much right now.
CH6: The conclusions
A seemingly simple sum: the outcome of the research is viewed thoroughly in the light of earlier made statements about translation theories, what a manual should look like and how grammar plays a role in addressing the user.
5. Practical points
- Sync the two versions of my thesis folder (on my mac and my pc) and finally sort out all the files.
- Collect all literature and index it/put it away decently.
- Collect all notes from teachers, type them in and add them to the unified thesis folder.
- Corpus: word counts in both languages, tmx-databases for each company (for clarity), document the source of the texts for my resources list.
Revisions
