reCAPTCHA

In stead of those spamblockers that don’t keep away all the comment spam, I’ve now installed reCAPTCHA. This means you have to enter some words now and prove you’re not an evil bot. In addition it helps to digitise books so we can read them on the intarwebs! :)

Now let’s see if I still get any spam… I think not!

Edit: it seems my theme messes up a lot. Not only was there a style issue with reCAPTCHA, but I also noticed it wasn’t even necessary to enter the captcha at all. Changing themes fixed this. I’ll probably change themes anyway and edit the chosen theme to look how I want it to, but for now I’ve installed a nice-looking temporary theme.

  • Hi Ben,

    thank you for giving me this fix. I didn’t even notice it since I was implementing the plugin late last night, but indeed it didn’t look the way it was supposed to. The theme I have, K2, seems to have a setting that messes this up, since in the default theme everything was fine. Thank you for paying so much attention!

    Hi,

    I’m an engineer on reCAPTCHA. I noticed that your reCAPTCHA had a style issue on it. We’ll apply a workaround for this on our side, but for now, can I recommend that you add the CSS rule:

    .recaptchatable img { padding:0px; }
