Sick

This is the 4th time this year that I get the “privilege” of being really, really sick. I was sick twice in March, and both times I had a high fever and I was confined to my bed for almost a week. I got sick again in November, which was very unlucky since I had lots of school things to finish (a presentation among others). I figured I should at least stay ok until the new year comes.
Yesterday morning, I woke up with an intense pain in the stomach. I decided that maybe some air was stuck or something, and went to the bathroom several times. Then the diarrhea began, it was horrible. My stomach couldn’t handle any food anymore, as the half sandwich I ate came back about a few hours later. I will spare the world more of the details.
In all four cases, I’ve had one night with a very weird dream. In March, I dreamed that I had to make some very difficult computations but it wouldn’t work because I kept forgetting stuff, and more numbers were added all the time. I don’t remember the dream I had in November, but the dream I had last night was quite odd: I was sorting out a ball of ribbons, but despite all my efforts it was growing bigger. The theme is, I try to solve something but it only gets worse. The last three times I had that, I got better after that night, but right now it still feels like my head might explode and eating food is still difficult. I think I’ll try another apple…

Sounds like you had a run-in with gastro-enteritis, just like we did a week ago -> http://www.kilala.nl/viewcomments.php?id=237
Poor girl :(
Try and get through it, since it’ll take four to five days to go away completely. Shitty timing as well (pun not intended), what with the holidays and such. I hear it’s been going around though, since another colleague of mine has gotten it too.

Aww you’ve both had it too? Good thing you’ve both recovered by now, as have I. FooBar just half recovered from it, we spent Christmas day feeling quite alright but the night after he was going to the bathroom all the time. We had no chance of visiting my parents (luckily we did get to visit his), and I can tell you, we had such a lousy day yesterday… we figured we should set another date for our own Christmas, and then celebrate it the way we want to :)
I hear a lot of people have had it these past weeks, it must be an epidemic of some sorts…
